The Hustle Awards highlights innovative technology

On Thursday 21st July 2022, the tech startup community joined together under one roof to celebrate The Hustle Awards hosted by Startups Magazine, at The Steel Yard, London.

The evening came together to celebrate individuals and companies and showcase their exceptional achievements and innovations in the startup and entrepreneur space.

One of the evenings winners was startup company aisle 3, who fought-off fierce competition to be crowned with the ‘Most Innovative Tech’ award.

Its innovation is a combination of bleeding-edge machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technology which is set to change the way we shop online.

By using ML and AI algorithms, aisle 3 gathers data on retail offers and product information and offers the collated information to the end user in a linear and coherent way.

The company adopted a top-down approach to their technology. By taking a macro-overview of the online retail industry, they were able to see where other companies in the online shopping and comparison space failed, and they used this information to their advantage.

The site layout is comparable to that of a single online retailer. However, Aisle 3 is comparing products from many different retailers without the need for the end user to open more than a single tab.

The technology, which was two-years in the making, was built during the COVID-19 pandemic and is designed to be a completely unbiased and seamless shopping and buying experience.

The Hustle Awards judges said: “aisle 3’s ambitious technology could really change online shopping in a big way. The potential use of big data analysis and standardisation really impressed the judges. This entry demonstrates tangible benefits to both end-users and retailers. The time saving and search capabilities for end-users is game-changing. This technology also provides retailers with the opportunity to be found by new customers who never knew they existed! We are looking at the new face of online shopping here.”

Every individual and company went through a rigorous judging process and each win was well-deserved. Editor at Startups Magazine, Anna Flockett, said: “The talent and innovation found in the award submissions seriously impressed the judges and we believe it is important to champion these triumphs long after the event is over.”
