Established in 2004, Taoglas has evolved, serving over 20,000 customers across more than 100 countries and operating from eight facilities around the world. Noteworthy milestones in Taoglas’ history include:
- 2004: Company founded, with initial offices in Taiwan and Ireland
- 2005: Development of the first off-the-shelf external antennas, the Hercules GPS series
- 2007: Supported the successful launch of the first IoT device with an embedded antenna to gain North American carrier certification, utilising a custom PC30 quad-band GSM antenna
- 2008: Introduction of the industry’s first flexible PCB antennas for IoT applications, beginning with the FXP.07
- 2010: Opened its first US office in San Diego, California, and installed its first 3D anechoic chamber in Enniscorthy, Ireland
- 2017: Inaugurated the first Taoglas-owned factory, a production and assembly facility in Tainan, Taiwan
- 2018: Launched Terrablast patch antennas as a lightweight and durable alternative to ceramic, and introduced online tools for custom cable and antenna designs
- 2022: Expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region by opening an office in Ahmedabad, India
- 2023: Secured a majority investment from private investment firm Graham Partners and launched the Taoglas Invisible Antenna series as a transparent alternative to traditional opaque antennas
Today, Taoglas offers an extensive range of over 1,200 products, including embedded and external antennas, RF cable assemblies, connectors, audio speakers, ethernet magnetics, and other RF components. The company is dedicated to ongoing innovation in areas such as high precision GPS, GNSS, 5G, and Wi-Fi 7. Taoglas provides antenna combinations with up to 17 elements, broad spectrum coverage from 13.5 MHz to 28.5 GHz, ultra-compact form factors, and a history of pioneering industry advancements.
