New Nordic Semiconductor CEO Vegard Wollan begins tenure

Vegard Wollan, recently appointed as the CEO of Nordic Semiconductor ASA by the company’s Board of Directors, will begin his tenure by attending CES 2024, taking place from 9-12 January 2024.

Wollan started his role at Nordic Semiconductor on 1st January 2024, succeeding Svenn-Tore Larsen who stepped down on 31st December 2023.

Wollan commented on his participation at CES, stating, “I’m attending CES as one of my first actions as CEO because it’s a significant event for our industry, providing an opportunity to engage with key customers and industry figures early in my role. I’m keen to join the Nordic team there and showcase our latest developments in low power wireless connectivity solutions.”

Nordic Semiconductor will be present at booth 52323 in the Venetian Expo at CES. The company plans to exhibit products that support various IoT technologies, including cellular IoT (NB-IoT and LTE-M), DECT NR+, low power Wi-Fi, Matter, and Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE).

At the event, Nordic Semiconductor will introduce its nRF54H Series, the company’s fourth-generation wireless SoC, which offers increased processing power, more memory, and improved efficiency. The company will also present updates in hardware, software, and development tools for its nRF91 Series, enhancing its solutions for cellular IoT and DECT NR+.
