The EnOcean Alliance, alongside its member companies, is set to have a significant presence at the AHR Expo, scheduled to take place in Chicago from 22nd to 24th January 2024. The event will feature over a dozen EnOcean Alliance member companies showcasing their latest advancements in EnOcean technology. These innovations are focused on smart buildings, smart spaces, and smart homes, all based on the EnOcean wireless standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-10/11).
The AHR Expo is a key event for the HVACR industry, bringing together a diverse array of manufacturers and suppliers to share ideas and display the future of HVACR technology. It serves as a crucial platform for OEMs, engineers, contractors, facility operators, architects, educators, and other professionals to explore the latest developments in the field. Notable EnOcean Alliance Members such as Magnum First, EnOcean, and EnOcean Edge will be showcasing their solutions at the EnOcean Alliance booth, number S6113.
The focus of the show will be on energy savings, CO2 reduction, air quality, and comfort, as well as building and space monitoring and optimisation. The event underscores the significance of managing building energy consumption in meeting global environmental and energy objectives.
Graham Martin, CEO and Chairman of the EnOcean Alliance, highlights the crucial role of buildings in global energy usage: “Buildings account for 40% of global energy use, underlining the necessity of employing cutting-edge technology for efficiency. The EnOcean Alliance and its members are contributing significantly with solutions that utilise energy harvesting technology. This technology harnesses movement, light, or temperature differences as energy sources for battery-free switches and self-powered wireless sensors. Thanks to this innovation, buildings can operate more efficiently and cost-effectively, playing a vital role in reducing energy waste and carbon emissions.”
EnOcean wireless networks have been implemented in over 2,500,000 buildings globally, making it the most extensively used and field-tested wireless building automation standard in the world.
