Driving convergence under the spotlight at SPS

The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will exhibit its latest advances in open industrial Ethernet with time-sensitive networking (TSN) functions, together with key applications, at SPS 2022.

From the 8th to 10th of November, visitors to Stand 106, Hall 5 will be able to learn how this cutting-edge network technology forms the foundation of the ‘e-F@ctories’ of the future.

The leading trade fair for Smart Production Solutions, SPS, will reopen its doors for a three-day physical event focusing on key technologies and trends in the industrial automation industry. In line with this year’s theme ‘Bringing automation to life’, the CLPA will emphasise the role of open industrial networks in making effective digital manufacturing a reality.

The organisation will highlight how convergent network architectures are a must to support digital manufacturing and realise truly futureproof operations. As a leader in the industrial communications industry, the CLPA has developed an open industrial Ethernet that was the first to offer gigabit bandwidth and TSN functions, CC-Link IE TSN, to address these requirements.

Visitors will be able to learn more about CC-Link IE TSN, its real-world applications and support for a variety of industry verticals as well as the range of compatible automation devices currently available. The CLPA will also showcase the broad range of product development options in its open, industry standard ecosystem.

In addition, an overview of the CLPA’s commitment to driving interoperability and interconnectivity, aspects that are at the core of smart manufacturing, will be shown. The most recent example being promoted is the organisation’s engagement with other industry leaders as part of the TSN Industrial Automation Conformance Collaboration (TIACC).

John Browett, General Manager of CLPA Europe, comments: “We are excited to finally exhibit at SPS again and look forward to showcasing state-of-the-art industrial automation solutions that can drive manufacturing forward. Our open gigabit industrial Ethernet technology that incorporates TSN, CC-Link IE TSN, has been developed to support the creation of tomorrow’s Connected Industries.

“We look forward to demonstrating how it can help companies on their digital transformation journeys by providing real-world solutions and examples.”

Thomas Burke, Global Advisor at CLPA, adds: “SPS is one of the worlds’ leading industrial automation fairs. I am looking forward to having the chance to interact face to face with our many partners in Europe, as well as getting to know new partners who plan to incorporate our industry leading technologies in their products.”
