ASUS unveils AI and sustainability innovations commitments at CES 2024

ASUS unveiled an array of new technologies and reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable practices at the In Search of Incredible: Transcendence event, a virtual showcase for CES 2024.

The event’s highlight was the introduction of ASUS NUC mini-PCs, following the acquisition of the Intel NUC business. This new range includes compact computers and barebone kits, featuring models like the NUC 14 Pro and NUC 14 Pro+, designed for both professional use and gaming.

Key unveilings included the Zenbook Duo (2024), a pioneering 14-inch dual-screen OLED laptop, and the ZenScreen Fold OLED, the world’s first foldable OLED portable display. AI-driven laptops featuring the latest Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors were also showcased, such as the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED, ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED, and the new ASUS Vivobook S series.

The ASUS AirVision M1 glasses, a new foray into wearable multi-monitor experiences, were also introduced.

Commercially, ASUS highlighted the NUC 14 Pro, an evolution of the Intel NUC series, alongside other business-oriented solutions like the ASUS Fanless Chromebox CF40, ASUS ExpertBook B5, and ASUS ExpertCenter D5, D7, and D9. The ASUS ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus, the first Intel Core Ultra-powered Chromebook Plus, also made its debut.

For gaming enthusiasts, the new TUF Gaming A16 and F16 laptops were announced, alongside an enhanced TUF Gaming A15 laptop, the Z790-BTF WiFi, and GeForce RTX 40 Series BTF White graphics card, as well as the BTF White OC Edition motherboards.

ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu emphasised the company’s dedication to sustainable innovation, particularly in AI technology, stating: “This year, we continue to progress in sustainability while leveraging our expertise in AI to innovate in consumer, commercial, and gaming sectors.”

Those attending in Las Vegas will have an exclusive opportunity to experience these products first-hand at The Venetian Expo, Meeting Room #3102, from 8-11 January.

In line with its commitment to quality and sustainability, ASUS will subject its 2024 laptop range to rigorous MIL-STD 810H US military-grade testing. The event also showcased ASUS’s strong ESG initiatives, highlighting its journey towards becoming a net-zero enterprise and its recognition as an EPEAT Climate+ Champion.

ASUS’s strategic acquisition of Intel’s NUC business marks a significant expansion in its AI and IoT capabilities, positioning it as a frontrunner in various technology markets.

The showcase of AI-enabled laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors signifies a new era in intuitive computing, focusing on user-centric design and sustainability.

ASUS’s integration of AI across its product range, coupled with Intel Unison and the AI-focused Neural Processing Unit in the Intel Core Ultra Processor, reinforces its vision for intelligent, efficient computing and a future of smart, sustainable living.
