Ubigi continues the rollout of its integrated Personal eSIM service for BMW vehicles across Europe. Since July 2024, the service has been available in 15 countries, and starting March , 2025, it will expand to 12 new countries: Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Cyprus, and Malta.
Ubigi provides BMW drivers with high-performance cellular connectivity through 5G data plans. With this expansion, customers in these new markets will be able to activate their vehicle’s eSIM to enjoy advanced infotainment services and an integrated WiFi hotspot, without changing their primary mobile operator.
The service is compatible with BMW vehicles featuring BMW Operating System 8, 8.5, and 9, provided they include the Personal eSIM option (SA6PA). Depending on the model, the Personal eSIM enables the in-vehicle WiFi hotspot, front-row video streaming services, and, for BMW 7 Series vehicles equipped with the BMW Theatre Screen, access to a wide range of content powered by Amazon Fire TV.
Drivers can conveniently activate their Personal eSIM through the My BMW App and subscribe to one of Ubigi’s European data plans (EU 27 + UK + CH + LIE) starting at €10 per month for unlimited data.
Continued expansion of automotive connectivity
