Anritsu and EMITE testing solutiong supports Wi-Fi 7 testing

EMITE and Anritsu have announced the enhanced functionality to over-the-air (OTA) measurement solution, for measuring to comply with the latest Wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11be for 2×2 MIMO.

The IEEE 802.11be standard is set to succeed to IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6/7E) and aims to support high-speed communications. The new standard will play a key role in enabling applications and services such as ultra-high-resolution video streaming beyond 4K and advanced AR/VR experiences.

The OTA measurement solution integrates Anritsu’s Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A with EMITE’s range of Anechoic and Reverberation Chambers. This integration allows developers to accurately measure the Total Radiated Power (TRP) and Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS) performance of IEEE 802.11be devices in a controlled, repeatable environment.

Offering integrated communications protocols and optimised performance, EMITE chambers and Anritsu’s MT8862A deliver reliable characterisation of Wi-Fi 7 devices in today’s market.

“We are excited to introduce the integration of EMITE chambers with Anritsu’s MT8862A, a collaboration that significantly enhances the efficiency and accuracy of Wi-Fi 7 testing,” said Miguel Á. García-Fernández, Ph.D., Head of R&D, EMITE. “By combining EMITE’s state-of-the-art OTA chambers with Anritsu’s cutting-edge measurement technology, we ensure precise, repeatable, and comprehensive validation of next-generation wireless devices. This milestone reaffirms our commitment to technological leadership and delivering industry-leading testing solutions to our clients.”

“Anritsu, a pioneer in cutting-edge technologies like Wi-Fi 7, is consistently striving to enhance industry standards. Our collaboration with EMITE to support Wi-Fi 7 MIMO measurements for OTA testing is a testament to our efforts to make testing more accurate, efficient, and reliable. We are further committed to continue in innovative and collaborative approach to improve customer satisfaction,” added Martin Varga, Engineering & Technology Wireless Team Leader, Anritsu.
