Security teams are unable to keep up, warns Ulla Technology at GITEX

“Security teams can’t keep up with AI,” an industry chief warned at GITEX Europe 2025, calling for urgent action to prioritise privacy in the workplace as cyberattacks surge across the UK.

GITEX Europe is running 21-23 May in Berlin, Germany, covering the European digital economy.

At the event Arkadiy Ukolov, Co-Founder and CEO of Ulla Technology, an AI-powered, security-first assistant, urged organisations to adopt AI solutions built with security and compliance at their core.

The event happens amid a wave of high-profile breaches affecting retailers such as Marks & Spencer and the Co-op, exposing critical gaps in how sensitive data is protected.

Remarking on the discussions emerging from GITEX in Berlin—where industry leaders gathered to debate the risks of unregulated AI—Ukolov warned that the rush to deploy generative tools is outpacing enterprise security teams, leaving businesses exposed and unprepared.

Ulla Technology offers a privacy-first, on-premises AI assistant designed specifically for professionals in regulated and security-sensitive industries. The platform avoids third-party APIs and Cloud integrations, to ensure that sensitive meeting data stays fully under organisational control.

Ulla demonstrated how AI can effectively assist professionals working in regulated and security-sensitive environments, ensuring both productivity and data security.

“In today’s climate of escalating data breaches, like those recently impacting major UK retailers, the need for secure and privacy-first AI solutions has never been clearer,” said Arkadiy Ukolov, Co-Founder and CEO of Ulla Technology. “As AI adoption accelerates, security teams simply can’t keep up — especially when tools rely on external APIs and uncontrolled data flows.

“At GITEX Europe 2025, we showcased how Ulla puts organisations back in control, with an on-premises, privacy-first architecture that enables professionals to embrace AI without ever compromising data security.”
