ASRock Industrial launches latest Edge AIoT platform

ASRock Industrial has introduced the iEP(F)-9040 Series, a next-generation Robust Edge AIoT Platform

ASRock Industrial has introduced the iEP(F)-9040 Series, a next-generation Robust Edge AIoT Platform designed to deliver high-performance Edge AI computing, real-time industrial automation, and scalable expansion for smart manufacturing, intelligent vision systems, autonomous robotics, and Edge AI applications.

Powered by Intel Core 200S Processors (Bartlett Lake-S), the iEP(F)-9040 Series facilitates seamless AI inferencing, high-speed data processing, and intelligent Edge computing for industrial IoT and AIoT applications.

With support for up to 24 cores and 32 threads with enhanced longevity, DDR5 5600MHz memory up to 96GB, PCIe Gen5 expansion, the Series is built to handle complex AI workloads. Designed to thrive in extreme industrial conditions, the series supports up to -40°C~75°C wide operating temperature range and 9V-36V DC power input with ignition control, ensuring reliable operation in mission-critical environments.

The iEP(F)-9040 Series features rich industrial I/O, supports real-time TSN/TCC, and connectivity options like 5G/4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and BT 5.4 for high-speed, low-latency communication. The series is well suited for different industrial applications such as smart factory, AI-based inspection, robotics, surveillance, smart transportation, and more.

The iEP(F)-9040 Series offers scalable expansion and industrial-grade connectivity, making it a powerful AIoT platform for intelligent automation and Edge computing. The compact iEP-9040E (201.7 x 244.8 x 109.5 mm) is ideal for space-constrained industrial applications, while the iEPF-9040S-EW4 (209.8 x 290.8 x 207.1 mm) offers expandable PCIe slots for high-performance AI acceleration and industrial add-ons.

For expansion, the iEP(F)-9040 Series features one M.2 Key E, two M.2 Key M, and two M.2 Key B slots for storage and connectivity upgrades. The iEPF-9040S-EW4 provides one PCIe x16 (Gen5), two PCIe x8 (Gen5), and two PCIe x4 (PCIe Gen4) slots, supporting addition of graphics cards, frame grabber cards, motion cards, and IO cards. For I/O connectivity, the iEP(F)-9040 Series features six USB 3.2 Gen2x1 ports, four COM ports (RS 232/422/485) and two COM ports (RS 232), five Intel 2.5GbE LAN ports (two with PoE support), eight DI/DO channels, and four SATA3, ensuring seamless integration for industrial automation, process control, and AI-driven applications.

For RF communication, meanwhile, the platform supports 5G/4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, along with wireless time-sensitive networking (WTSN), ensuring reliable, real-time communication and seamless data transmission for AIoT applications.
