Intellicup: a smart beverage dispensing system to help crowds grab their drinks easier

Intellicup has developed a beverage dispensing platform that provides an integrated, high speed, cashless, serving system. The startup is an IoT based solution provider and is operating in Mauritiuts, USA, UK, and Australia.

The worldwide events market has significant constraints such as queues and backlog, slow cumbersome and unconnected systems, multiple unhygienic touchpoints, labour intensive with significant waste and loss. Intellicup is here to change the situation.

How it works

The self-cleaning technology pours up to four drinks per minute with reduced wastage and the fully integrated system comprises a customer app, merchant portal and smart hardware while customers dock their cup to automatically dispense a pour against their account.

Intellicup has successfully proven the concept internationally and is now targeting commercial rollout in the UK and US draught beer markets

Intellicup has held commercial trials with overwhelmingly positive feedback and is currently in conversation with the key customers to roll-out its platform at stadiums, arenas and other large venues.

The funds will enable the company to scale into some of the world’s largest stadiums and will help in ongoing product research and development.

The system is very useful and provides many advantages on both B2B and B2C levels. It helps in increasing merchant profitability through labour and pour efficiencies, reducing wait times for customers, collecting vast amounts of highly valuable data, reducing waste and single-use plastics, and personalising the customer experience.

The startup is Co-founded by Brian Stockdale and Gary Harrod.

Intellicup has joined FasterCapital’s Raise Capital program and is planning to raise $1.5m.

Mr. Hesham Zreik, CEO of FasterCapital, commented: “The system of Intellicup is energy and time saving and is something that many companies and customers worldwide would be interested in using. This is why we are glad to be supporting the project.”
