Spirent Communications will showcase its latest 400G, 800G, and 1.6T Ethernet validation solutions at the OFC 2025 Conference and Exhibition, taking place in San Francisco, from 30th March 30 to 3rd April.
As AI-driven workloads continue to drive unprecedented demand for high-bandwidth, low-latency networking, Spirent’s cutting-edge test platforms will be on display to support the industry with validating reliability, scalability, and interoperability for next-generation data centres, Cloud providers, AI and machine learning infrastructures.
“The demand for high-speed, low-latency connectivity is continuing to accelerate as AI and hyperscale computing reshape modern networks, while at the same time AI is imposing unique demands on networks” said Aniket Khosla, Vice President of wireline product management, Spirent. “With 800G adoption accelerating and 1.6 Terabit speed on the horizon, we’ll be demonstrating to OFC attendees how Spirent is enabling the ecosystem to seamlessly transition to these higher speeds by delivering trusted, high-performance Ethernet validation.”
The networking industry is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the rise of AI workloads and the need for new AI back-end networks to connect an ever-increasing number of accelerators in large AI clusters. According to insights from Dell’Oro Group, spending on network switches deployed in AI back-end networks is forecast to nearly double the total data centre switch addressable market by 2029. InfiniBand currently dominates AI back-end networks, but Dell’Oro expects Ethernet to gain significant market share over the next five years, with the majority of switch ports deployed in AI back-end networks anticipated to be 800G in 2025 and 1.6T by 2027.
At OFC 2025, Spirent will showcase:
- 1.6T test solutions that enable network equipment manufacturers and service providers to validate the highest levels of performance, lossless transport, and ultra-low latency
- The award-winning B3 800G Appliance, which is the industry’s first high-density 800G OSFP and QSFP-DD test platform supporting IEEE 802.3df specifications to accelerate AI-driven Ethernet adoption
- 400G test solutions designed to provide high-performance, cost-effective, and interoperable Cloud-scale networking
- Spirent’s award-winning M1 Compact Appliance, a space-efficient platform for functional, performance, and benchmark testing in IP networking and automotive Ethernet applications
