EnOcean Alliance to showcase smart wireless sensor solutions at Light + Building 2024

From 3-8 March 2024, Light + Building will welcome international guests, spotlighting the latest trends in lighting, the electrification and digitalisation of domestic and commercial building services, and integrated security technology. The EnOcean Alliance, together with select members, will showcase wireless sensor solutions for Smart Homes and the digitalisation of sustainable buildings, grounded in the international EnOcean Standard.

The transition towards sustainable energy within the building sector plays a crucial role in meeting climate protection objectives. From energy supply to energy management, the future of energy utilisation hinges on the electrification of homes, buildings, and urban infrastructure. Light + Building emphasises the pivotal role of electrification with its motto “Be electrified”.

Echoing the theme of the world’s leading trade fair, the three main topics of Sustainability, Connectivity, and Work + Living outline the critical elements for future living, working, and mobility environments.

At the joint stand (9.0 D10), experts from the EnOcean Alliance and its member companies, including Elero, Eltako, EnOcean GmbH, GRE Alpha, Integacon, PEHA/Honeywell, Pressac, Schulte Schlagbaum, and WinShine, will discuss their latest projects on home and building smartification, detailing the advantages for building professionals and owners. In total, over 40 companies will present solutions based on the EnOcean Standard at Light + Building 2024.

The focus of this year’s event will include:

16 years of wireless building intelligence

Founded at the Light & Building Show in 2008, the EnOcean Alliance was established as an open, non-profit organisation aimed at fostering the development and commercialisation of interoperable, maintenance-free, and sustainable system solutions based on the EnOcean Standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-10/11).

Graham Martin, founding CEO and Chairman of the EnOcean Alliance, remarked: “Initially launched with seven companies, the EnOcean Alliance now encompasses over 400 members globally, standing as one of the most successful alliances in smart building monitoring and control. We take pride in our history of millions of buildings worldwide utilising our Standard, aiding in energy conservation, CO2 reduction, and the creation of smarter, healthier buildings.”

The EnOcean ecosystem, currently comprising 5,000 product variations built on 1,500 base products with continuous additions, positions EnOcean as the leading international technology standard in wireless building automation.
