Heliot Europe appoint Gareth Mitchell as UK Partner Manager

Heliot Europe, a UK and European Sigfox operator and independent IoT network operator and solution provider, has appointed Gareth Mitchell as UK Partner Manager, Heliot Europe. His appointment comes off the back of Heliot Europe’s acquisition of WND UK’s Sigfox 0G network operations. Gareth will be responsible for driving growth and partnership development in the UK. He will collaborate with the channel to make it aware of the opportunity to profit from selling IoT connectivity and solutions; that are based predominantly on, but not exclusively, sub-gigahertz 0G-WAN networks. For example, Helium, LoraWAN,Mioty and Sigfox.

Gareth Mitchell is a seasoned enterprise technology and telecoms professional. He has been in the industry for over 20 years. His experience spans IoT, mobile, fixed line and Unified Communications, and prior to this role at Heliot, Gareth held senior sales and channel-focused positions. At WND UK he fulfilled roles as ‘Key Account Manager’ and ‘IOT Solution Sales and Partner Manager’; whereas for BT Wholesale, he carried out the role of New Business Manager, BT M2M & IoT.

Gareth Mitchell, UK Partner Manager, Heliot Europe says, “During the last 20 years I’ve seen how the industry has evolved from a product/commodity based solution sell to a services led market. I’m passionate about the potential for the channel and end users to profit from selling and using IoT solutions; which would comprise of consultancy, connectivity and devices; and the slick execution of technology deployments. While IoT has taken a little bit of time to reach a point of momentum, I believe we’ve hit that critical point where its ubiquity, and the value it brings to businesses, is rising. I’d love to connect with potential partners and end users who appreciate this, and who want to grow – or, connect with those exploring IoT, and how it can enable them to profit. We can collaborate on appropriate mutually beneficial solutions and identify the growth possibilities that IoT can deliver.”
